Something to do with sync speed. You can see the lights but everything else for that fraction of a second the shutter was passing that spot is underexposed. Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R5

I don't know the ins and outs of flash photography that well, but I'm sure from what we see there that it was related somehow to the flash and the shutter. Perhaps it was a flash recharge issue? Can't say I've ever seen anything like it, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

The rain never came, but the promise of air conditioning proved too much so we moved inside anyway. There were some heavy restrictions (some art pieces couldn't be in photographs) but still a sweet venue for photos. Toronto area photographer http://www.SimonMellickPhotography.com
