It is sadly not a sync speed issue (would be easy to fix) because the shutter speed is too slow and the artefact is wrong. If it was caused by sync speed the dark bar would be at the bottom of the image because the second curtain rises from the bottom while the flash is firing.

Unfortunately this looks more like a faulty shutter blade obscured the sensor or there was a problem with the sensor or the card. I would get your flash out and start shooting a load of test shots to see if it reoccurs. You don't want to find out you have a faulty sensor/shutter in the middle of a gig.
