The 7th March is a special day for us so we always have the day off work. Last year we were at the same place and I saw a Kingfisher for the first time, was quite distance away then with just a standard zoom. This year we returned and I thought I'd take my telephoto on the off chance my mate returned. We walked along the river and I was spotting the whole time, and just as we headed back I spotted it again (no idea if the same bird). So I watched it for a bit, got fairly close, it dived down a few times, then it would fly along and I'd follow. The pic I posted was the last one I took and was the cleanest. So, I was welll chuffed with the result and it was also quite fitting for our yearly day out Jon
