Got the PM...

Took the camera out for the first time, playing around with the in camera HDR... not sure how I feel about it yet.

I like the shot and the built in HDR feature, Its more toned down than software HDR and sometimes gives it a dreamy look with detailed shadows that I have grown to like. Enjoy your new toy.

So 5D III focus system is a bit more complex than my old 6D.............

Anyone have suggestions on best places to learn how to properly use it? Videos/pdfs whatever are appreciated. :)

I felt right at home coming from 7D. Once you are spoiled by the focus system and that addicting joystick, there's no turning back :D

Michael Maven had a good series about it that I used to watch way back when,

& Obviously Canon has its own tutorial

I love candid portraits, a tighter crop maybe? Since the background is negative anyways.

thanks! i love the vanishing point on the right and the blue sky, I'm not sure what you mean by the "background is negative anyways" cropping is probably the last thing i would of done, not to say it wouldn't look better to some people cropped, just not to me.

I went out of my town a bit further north the last few days, Love night shots in the places out in the wheat belt, so how its so dark, these were taken in Nyabing. Nyabing is a small town in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The name is of Aboriginal origin and is thought to derive from the Aboriginal word "ne-yameng" which is the name of an everlasting flower
