I am thinking of selling it and buying the Canon 16-35L F/4. I like the idea of image stabilization. I am looking for sharp images as I tend to print a lot of 16x20 and 13x19 prints. 5D Mark III, Canon 80D,16-35L, 24-105L, 70-300L IS, 100-400L IS, Nifty 50 1.4, Canon 135L, Canon 85 1.8, Canon EFS 18-135, Canon 55-250, Sigma 150 Macro, EFS-18-135, Sigma 150-600 Contemporary, Extension Tubes, Canon G10

Check out the lens sample thread here on POTN - you will instantly see the difference: https://photography-on-the.net …ad.php?t=1384030&page=137 I switched from the 17-40 L as well as the edge softness really showed up in my pics I take for work projects. 16-35 version fixed it. Thanks for pointing me to the sample thread for the 16-35. I'm convinced. Will be picking mine up tomorrow from the local camera shop (they have them in stock). I'll be lucky if the give me $200 for the 17-40. I am also going to try this lens on my 80D. Perhaps, I'll be happy with the results. 5D Mark III, Canon 80D,16-35L, 24-105L, 70-300L IS, 100-400L IS, Nifty 50 1.4, Canon 135L, Canon 85 1.8, Canon EFS 18-135, Canon 55-250, Sigma 150 Macro, EFS-18-135, Sigma 150-600 Contemporary, Extension Tubes, Canon G10
