Looks really good. Has anybody tested it vs canon's?

Hi All,

I have a 6D and from the looks of things, I'm likely skipping the 6D2 so I'm looking at "downgrading" to a 5D3 since the used prices here in my country are looking pretty good. My main reason for considering the 5D3 is the AF. I've had good success with the 6D and it's basic AF (I also use off-center points every now and then) but I just can't get reliable results with it paired with my EF 50/1.4...it could be the lens but I'm hoping I'll get better results with the 5D3 since it has a lot more cross-type AF points. Do you think this is a good idea? My 6D has some mileage in it (I think I'm at around 80,000+ clicks) and I'll eventually sell it for cheap but I can find some lightly-used 5D3's here because people are moving up to the 5D4.

I tried the 6D and while I liked the quality of the pics I did not like the focusing, it was not convenient and efficient to me.

Im loving the 5D3 vs my 6D. 1/8000 and focus points blow the 6D away IMO.

Hi 5D3 users, I have a quick question.
Did you experience on your 5D that when the camera is in stand by and you pick it up and turn the dials those do not have an impact? But first you have to push the shutter half-way to wake up the 5D and then buttons start to work?
Recently I am experiencing this and honestly cannot remember how it worked before, so not sure whether my camera is failing or is this by design.
