I was surprise to see fall colors this past Saturday. I was expecting no leaves. It was a great surprise :D Thanks for looking!

All shot with 5D MK III...

1. Waterfall
16-35mm @ 16mm
f/22
181 sec
ISO 100
LEE Filters Big Stopper and 0.9 GDN soft edge
I would have used my Little Stopper for a shorter exposure but I broke it  The extra long exposure worked out though :) It completely erased the few people that were walking up and down the steps on the right :D Yes, I have moving leaves but I prefer that than moving people :)

Crap, I missed the central park foliage. Those are all very nice! When and what time of day where those shot.

Thanks aquaforester! I took these last Saturday between 11-12:30. Not the greatest time to shoot but I had no choice.

Didn't realize when I first saw this that it was just last Saturday. I'm thinking about going in this weekend to see if there's anything left, but with the cold I don't know.

cmoy could you tell me where the 1st pic of the waterfall was taken in the park?

Yeah, I was shocked to see so much color. I was sure most of the leaves were gone by now. The waterfall is up at the north end of the park. We either setup at the blue or red dot. I'm 99% sure we were at the blue dot.

Aquaforester, walk on the gray path along the Harlem Meer and along the Lasker Rink and it will take you to the waterfall. I think it's after the small tunnel.

Thanks much for all that detail. I was there in early summer on the south side of the park so I didn't see the waterfall and I didn't have a wide angle with me so I want to go back. Looks like it's warming up a bit this weekend. Thanks again!

I had no idea there was a waterfall there LOL It's a nice little area. We had some people and dog walkers every so often pass by and go up and down those steps. That was a annoying. A 181 second exposure fixed that LOL Good luck!
