Hey folks! I just posted something I thought would be useful to someone needing a strong sturdy clamp. So you have no need for such a thing. Comparing a Yugo to a pick-up truck lacks any rational. It was for informational purposes and NOT trying to sell someone something. OKAY? ;(
like i said before, it comes in very handy. I have probably 10 or more A clamps that I use for various things. But this is a discussion forum, where things get discussed. Those little $22 clamps are incredibly strong and versatile and can do a lot of what your modified A clamp can do, but there are somethings that the little clamp can't do that the A clamp can, like clamp onto a larger pipe or often a flat surface.

absolutely! a buddy once asked if a flash reflector i was using was "real" or if i made it. Of course i asked why it couldn't be both.

you should see my seamless backdrop holder, actually both of them are homemade.
