I got my wife one in 2013 for a surprise anniversary gift. I'm ashamed to admit what I paid for it, given today's prices. Still, she loves that little camera. I have offered her both my 60D and 70D and she wants to keep her SL1.

It is sexist, it implies most photographers here are men and that our wives only deserve entry level sl1's.

Why even make such a statement, why not just post the price of the sl1. The op is saying that the sl1 is a "wife's" camera not a man's camera.

It is not an argument; it was an observation. Rstandford sums it up pretty well below. The title reminds me of the common themes in the series Mad Men... which took place five decades ago. If you disagree, well that is up to you.
