Nice images, hardly any noise to be seen..... The kid in the first image almost looks like he can dunk the freakin' ball.

Matt they all look to be capturing the action pretty good. As I have been advised many many times, and am just now starting to get it, crop them tighter, I think you can increase the impact on them by removing some of the space around that focus of the action. And a few could use some straightening. I try to look for something in the image the I know to be vertical (door frame #3 and 4, column on wall #5) and make sure that if they are in the image that they are indeed vertical.

Did they call the cops after #3? That is a mugging going on there!

Appreciate the feedback. I need to crop tighter before posting. These are all cropped for sales and printing. Straightening is something I need to be better at, thanks for the reminder!

Great white balance, did you set a custom white balance or do something in post?

Joemt.

Thanks! All with auto WB and then slight adjustment in Lightroom as needed.

You have a wonderful future ahead. I have 1 grandson a Junior in college, one a Freshman in college, and 1 a Sophomore in high school. I've had tons of fun shooting BB for years. Make sure you have backups I do online sharing to family/friends by using Microsoft OneDrive and deleting after a month or so.

If you ever see posts by DCFan, he's the "expert" on action shooting, IMO.

Very nice. I either need a 1DX or to improve the lighting in our gym. Either way, I'm jealous!
