I bought a EOS-M on Amazon.

I bought it in part to take slow motion videos of my golf swing. The specs say it could capture up to 60 frames per second.

I checked the menu in the camera for video settings and one of the options for "Movie Rec Size" is 1280x720/ 50FPS, but nothing for 60 FPS

I checked the owner's manual, page 187

Frame rate 30/60 for areas where format is NTSC (North Amer., Japan, Korea)

Frame rate 25/50 for areas where format is PAL ( Europe, Russia, China)

Did I get a camera for European market and PAL video format?

Is there a way to update or change the camera to capture 60 frames per second?

Thank you

In the menu of the camera, where you change the time and date, the brightness of the LCD, language, etc, there's an option called Video System. You can change it from Pal to NTSC to get the 60 fps at 720p
