So, how should you charge tax for photography in Alabama in the US? I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I don't want to end up not doing the right amount and getting myself into a sticky situation. :S

Each state taxes differently, and what is included is subject to state and sometimes local law.

There are several taxes you have to pay. Some of the taxes require you to pay a quarterly estimated payment even before you know how much you are going to even owe. Philip

Nov 22, 2014 22:51 | #4 Alabama has a state tax, county tax, and local tax. All different rates based on what you sell and what county you are in. Also there are other taxes, like occupancy taxes. You can go the tax commission website for a listing of them. Good luck! Also, there are annual reports and annual filing fees for each state, local, and county! 1DX, R5, 400 2.8 V2, 300 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS II, 24-70 2.8L, 300 2.8L IS, 200 2.8L, 7D, 40D, 100 2.8 Macro, 580EX II
