I have just been offered to spend $250 as a thank you for 10 years of service.

Thinking how I might spend it as it needs to be a 'gift'

I was thinking of possibly
a. a camera trigger such as MIOPS NT (Nerotrigger)
b. another flash (I already have 2)

What would you buy that is something that you would LIKE as to opposed to something you NEED?

cheers, Paul

It really depends on what you have now and how you use it. If your current equipment does the job you want it to, how about some books of great photography? $250 won't go far for the coffee-table size.

1)Have a coffee-table book made of your best photo's.
Probably $150 or so.

2) A set of Yongnuo flash transmitter/triggers, for off-camera.

I like this idea a lot.

But if that's not your thing I would grab a couple YN Flashes and transmitters, or a good backpack like the F stop guru with the small pro ICU.

I was given a Birthday voucher for £200 recently and wondered what I could get. I decided on the Canon Angle Finder C. If you like macro or taking low down shots for unique angles. This is a nice piece of kit for your camera bag. I have found many uses for it and in my opinion well worth the £170 I payed for it.

If it were me, I am looking for Canon's IR trigger for speedlites. I have two speedlites but the 5dc can't trigger them remotely. That's about $250, maybe a bit less. You can get it to trigger the 580. Im not sure itll work on your other speedlite?

Looking through your list of equipment, I'd guess you have most everything you need or want. What about a little point-n-shoot?

I got an ELPH 330 about a year ago, and it is very interesting to go from a 5DIII to a little Elph. How do you get the picture? How do you make it work? Whereas I have to do a bit of planning to bring the 5DIII, I have to do a bit of thinking to get the shot with the Elph.

There's a YouTube channel for DigitalRev TV for their series Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera. That inspired me, watching some excellent photographers create amazing photos with truly low end cameras. How far can you push a relatively simple digital camera?

I love my little Elph. It's fun and takes great photos under Sunny 16 conditions. It's even more fun trying to get photos when conditions are far less than Sunny 16. It will never replace my 5DIII, but then I never intended that.

So what did you decide on OP? I think a sweet new bag and a case of fire stone walker union jack would be my short list!
