Hi Guys

I have seen many adverse comments regarding the visibility and positioning of the exposure metering scale on the Right-hand-side of the 7D2.

I have again spoken to Canon to enquire whether or not a firmware upgrade can restore this scale to the bottom of the VF when in Manual Mode.

They claim their copy is ok for visibility?? Then they would claim that, wouldn't they?
They say they will contact me to let me know if a future firmware upgrade can help. I await with interest.

They say they have not had many complaints about this issue. So, if any other members are finding this a problem could I suggest you let them know of your concerns on their support lines. It might encourage some action.

Please note - I have no other problems with this camera although I will probably use only about 10% of its many advanced functions.

Regards

Only 10%? Wouldn't a cheaper model make more sense, then?

You're probably right there! But I'm addicted to the latest technological advancement. Perhaps I'll revise that figure - let's say 12%.

buying camaras is like buying cars there is always something that we would have different ,but the overall package still makes it great to use.

Depends on what 10% you use. If it's the AF and fps then the answer is no.

True, but it seems the AF system alone covers 25% of this camera's capabilities! :D

The 7D2 metering scale is in the same place as the 1D models, which is perfect from my experience. I'd prefer my 5D3's to have it on the right side.
