Doesn't even need to be a photo printer, although this would be nice.
Just need a reliable inexpensive printer with decent per page cost for my kids' school projects. I have an old Epson Inkjet but gave up fighting with clogged heads all the time.

I now have a Brother color laser 9140CDN, works great - only thing I wish for is double sided scanning. Not sure, check which ones they each use and see the specs on amazon. 1000 - 3000 pages generally.
