I like it as it is. Having the bridge on the right side works IMO

Good job :)

That centered rock really grabs the eye. It's a little distracting, but if there were 30 pleasing and perfectly composed photos + this one, all framed and lined up, this is the one I'd immediately single out (for better or worse).

Gorgeous vantage of the Bridge, and the crop is perfect. Good colors/exposure time. I'm going there in two weeks, I'll have to see if I can make it to Marshall's to snag my own. Do you have any other place suggestions?

Yup agree with pretty much everyone else on this thread! The background is great, the moving water is great, the processing is great, I would crop out the left like everyone said, but even better would be moving like a foot to the right before you took the picture? Or, I'm not even sure, because the sky to the left sure is bland, too... So maybe just stay where you were and zoom in a bit to crop out the left in camera. I'm not against cropping in post either. Great photo!

If you are visiting SFO for the first time , then you don't want to miss the golden gate views from Kirby cove, Marin Headlands , marshalls beach of course , there are good places to shoot the bay bridge from the treasure island too ..

If you are looking for some seascape you can drive along the CA-1 highway and check out some amazing places along half moon bay , davenport , santa cruz and you don't want to miss big sur for sure ..

I don't think its the rule of thirds that's the issue. It's a matter of balance. The "rock" in the centre acts as a pivot point and the bridge on the right is weighting the entire image to that side. The re-cropped image has balance, with the rock balancing the bridge.

That's is my 2 cents worth,
Gary
