Anyone use the 1d mark iii with the tamron 150-600? How is the image quality? I'm thinking about getting this combo to photograph eagles this winter.

Was that helpful?

The 10 MP APS-H sensor isn't very taxing on lenses so even wide open at 600mm will likely give you very acceptable results. Focus works well for me too. Jason

Nov 28, 2014 15:53 | #5 These were taken with 1D markIII and Tamron 150-600. The sky was very overcast, so lighting wasn't the greatest. Both at 1600 ISO. No crop at all on first one.
