Last minute, quick trip to London/Paris and I want a smaller backpack than my StreetWalker Pro. I am only taking my 60d, 17-55mm f/2.8, Sigma 8-16mm and my fisheye. Will all that fit in a Lowepro Flipside 200? I'll probably have my camera out most of the time anyway so it may not be an issue but I want to make sure first. As for accessories I'll take, probably only an ND filter, mini tripod I'll keep in my pocket and an extra battery so I don't need a ton of space for that stuff. Thanks!

If that won't fit in a Flipside 200, is there a backpack (not a sling) that will fit that stuff that is smaller than the StreetWalker Pro?

Oh, and I will NOT be using the battery grip on my 60d. Going light and small for this trip.

i do like the amazonbasics dslr backpack which is 30 dollars on amazon. the quality of the backpack is great and and doesn't cost a lot, never had a problem with it. size is decent, not too big nor too small. it will hold everything you need inside of it for the trip. if you have amazon prime, it will come to you very fast, within 2 days at most.

I think that would fit in a Lowepro Hatchback 22L. Great thing about it is the rear opening, like the flipside, means pickpockets and other scum can't get at your gear. I prefer the hatchback over the flipside because it has room for non-camera stuff too, and it looks better IMO.
I can fit my 5DIII w/70-200 f4 attached, and my Sigma 35/1.4 in the camera compartment, with a bit of space to spare.

Thanks! That one does look like it'll hold what I need and is slightly smaller than the StreetWalker. I am trying to go small since I'll be going into churches and stuff and some don't allow larger type bags. I do have Prime so I may give that a shot, for only $30 I'm not out much if it doesn't work out.

I looked at that one, but the measurements for it online show it is slightly larger than the StreetWalker. I thought it was smaller but when I compared the measurements it came out slightly larger. Thanks though!

Heya,

I can vouch for the inexpensive Amazon Basics backpacks. They're excellent quality. Inexpensive. They're not fancy. I sometimes want to cut off half the straps, as it seems more for hiking than just basic walk around (to me at least). I like that it's low key. It doesn't scream "camera name." It just looks like a black backpack. Lots of padding. I carry around 4~5 lenses and two cameras in mine no problem and a flash. With big pouches for extra stuff like filters, batteries, mosquito netting, a spare pipe and a pouch of tabacco and gloves.

Very best,

It is larger in height and maybe width, but it is quite a bit shallower in depth, which is what makes a camera bag bulky :)

You could look at the smaller 16L version, though I doubt it will fit all your gear in the camera section.

You could look at the smaller 16L version, though I don't know if it will fit all your gear in the camera section.

I have the Hatchback 22L and it'll fit a standard DSLr with fast zoom, a prime, and enough room for another lens in the camera section.

Stupid question but if you have the Street Walker pro, did you consider the smaller, standard Street Walker? It's noticeably smaller.

Thanks! I may just grab it for this trip and then use it around the city too.

The specs I am seeing shows the 22L as 9.3" deep and the StreetWalker Pro as 7.5". I'm only looking to put the camera and the 3 lens in there, not all my gear as this is a quick trip. I'll check out the 16L and see what it looks like.

Not a stupid question at all, b/c I totally forgot about it for awhile. However it is pretty pricey to pick up for just this trip, as I use the Pro all the time on other trips.

Hmm, you know what, you're right. I misread the dimensions. However, I have seen the streetwalker in person before and it looks bulkier. I guess that's because I don't stuff my lowepro completely full when I use it, whereas the streetwalker is made of a stiffer material that doesn't collapse when empty. But anyway, the 22L won't cut it for you then.
