That's a very interesting shot! I like the people in the reflection. Might move the eye a bit to the left as it seems to be looking to the right. Or simply crop up to the edge of the eye on the left.

I like it. Agree with PhotosGuy on move/crop.

How much/what processing did you do?

The iris colour looks unreal and the pupil has vanished. Is the reflection real or is it anther image overlayed? Not that that would be bad, they look well done if these are PP changes - just intrigued :)

I think this is one of those images whos effectiveness relys heavily on how it is reproduced. A large high quality print would likely be preferred to viewing on a screen. The reflection of the couple probably won't be obvious or even noticed by most outside of a photography forum. As mentioned the pupil being so constricted and obscured by the reflection is a little odd looking.

It would benefit from selective sharpening on just the iris rather than all over, and the white might benefit from some lightening up. It is certainly an attention getting shot, but the owner of the eye might not feel it is flattering. I'd have a hard time presenting it, assuming it is destined for a client's book/dvd.

Depending on the effect you would like, I'd consider rotating it a bit clockwise. I think this would make it look more like the eye is looking at the figures adding to the story. I guess with the eye looking up it gives it more of a 'dreaming of the figures' effect, but I'm not sure. I think your processing looks a touch oversharpened, but it is a generally a great idea and execution. Nice job.

You had two of these in a different forum. This was the better of the two. I think because of the brightness of the reflection. Fascinating capture. I look at eyes all the time at work (granted through an ophthalmoscope) and I'm going to look for reflections now.

I would be interested in seeing a crop of just the pupil or just pupil and sclera.maybe rotated...I'm not sure. The point im making poorly is that the subject is the reflection. It's amazing that it is a reflection in an eye...but how much of the eye do you need in the photo to get that across?

Personally, I think it looks great. I couldn't see how to improve it. Nice shot.

And you think judges know what they're doing because....

I'd crop it tight so that the reflection is the subject. I may be so old I can't tell what it is just because I cannot see it. Great idea. Very nice shot.

Wonderful capture.

I also would like the eye centered left a bit, and perhaps a tighter crop... but it's great to me as-is.
