The expected $2399 price for grey market 5d3 just hit, last year it sold out in an hour and a half. Just picked one up myself =)

I wonder what kind of experience people have with warranty work through getitdigital or big value inc. I've heard mostly good regarding buying experiences.

I paid close to retail for mine 2 years ago (US warranty). No issues so far. I don't understand why people shy away from gray market camera (or lens). The only difference is the warranty card, both are made from the same factory by the same people. I doubt if the person assembling it knows if it will have a US warranty card or not. People buy used and are Ok with it not having a warranty. This is brand new!

My first 5D3 developed dead pixel clumps on the sensor, Canon Ireland changed it out same day. Local warrantee worth every penny in my case.

Sounds like Canon warranties grey market. At that price, I'll take my chances.
