It's OK. I'm struggling to see the point of the image? FWIW, maybe shooting a little earlier would make it more interesting?

...and I'm struggling to take good photos. :)

I ride by this station regularly and had been watching gas prices steadily dropping. It dropped below $2.60 and I decided to get a shot of it. I was thinking about the state of our energy supply and pricing. Some of the pundits/sages/etc say the falling gas prices reflect the weakening economy while others state that it is a result of OPEC not able to keep prices elevated because of the increased shale oil production in the US.

...not a clear motive, if there is one.

I'll try to revisit it at a different time.

I think I would revisit it at a different angle. Not sure the time is as relevant as the angle and composition. Different composition could make for a better shot. Think of it this way. Every picture tells a story. What story do you want that picture to tell. Look at the station from different angles, as well as different view points. Use the lights from the station and passing traffic to help with your story. A longer exposer with passing traffic could ad a different dimension as well. That would give a nice light streak affect. Try some different shots of it again. Just be sure to be safe doing it, and most important, have fun. ;)

Frank, didn't you have a post where you talked about long exposer shots? I looked briefly but couldn't find it.

I don't remember one specifically on long exposures. Do you remember anything else about it?
