Local Amateur MMA/Kickboxing

This weekend I got to cover a local show from cage side.

Being a small amateur event, you can imagine the lighting conditions.. terrible!
There were 3 spots in the cage that had no light hitting them. The lights were about 3 feet from the top of the cage along one track so it was very harsh and not able to evenly cover the inside of the cage. To get a good exposure in the hot spots, the rest of the image would be black. In fact, I have one image where all you can see is two gloves and an arm with great exposure, that disappear into the shadows and you can't even see the person at all. Lol. But, it's what I had to work with.

This was my first shot covering any kind of fighting event. So I did a lot of looking around here for advice before hand and want to thank Muls and DwightMcCann for a lot of the insight they have shared here. So, thanks guys!

All said and done, I'm happy for my first time out.

I've learned a lot form this experience and am looking forward to getting back out there for the next local show!
