I spoke to customer service and they would've still given me the same deal when the item was back in stock if I did an exchange vs. a refund. I decided not to because I did not want to take the chance that it would take weeks or months, similar to what happened when they had this deal back in the summer.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I had the same fear! I was concerned when they said they would ship a new one right away, but thankfully they did.

Someone must have stocked a bin wrong or grabbed items from the wrong bin. Either way, I figured that large internet retailers like B&H would be using electronic scanners to ensure the right item is grabbed and also for inventory control, and that the scanner would let them know if they grabbed the wrong item for the order...but perhaps that's not the case. (Or maybe the employee ignored the warning beep.) No big deal either way, but since the exact same thing happened to you and me, then I'm sure it happened to others as well.

I'm glad both of us got the cards we needed, and for such a great price.

Cheers.
Bryan

Yeah, things happen. I'm glad Adorama had them in stock and I was able to get mine.

I bought a two-pack of these from B&H back in May of this year. Now one has died. It was working fine in the camera and then the camera (5D MkIII) said the card couldn't be read and to format it in camera. The camera won't format it, though. None of my USB readers, including the Lexar reader I bought with the cards, will recognize that there is even a card inserted. I realize cards malfunction from time to time and Lexar's failure rate may be no worse than another brand's. I've never had a card malfunction on me, but was bound to happened to me eventually. Just FYI, B&H's reviews have a few "dead card" entries on these. More reason to use both card slots for important shoots.

The second card from this two-pack is still working fine. Now I get to see how good Lexar's Limited Lifetime Warranty is.

Yikes, sorry to hear about this! I've heard that Lexar is great with taking care of replacements. Let us know how it turns out.

I grabbed 10 of these from B&H, in two shipments, at an even better (volume) price of $89.95 during the sale. I double checked both shipments, and all cards were 1066x.

Wish B&H would pack things better. It seems like they just go through the motions of tossing in an air pillow or two, yet the product remains unprotected. Cards arrived OK, however.

So far, so good. Lexar gave me an RMA number with no hassles and instructions on shipping it back to them for a replacement. My card reader is the recommended Lexar UDMA 7 reader, but the tech told me other non-UDMA 7 compatible readers have been known to corrupt these cards. Just FYI if you have such a reader.

UH-Oh!

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't have a UDMA 7 reader. In fact, I have San Disk Extreme Pro readers that have only a 45mb/s transfer rate. So that looks like a lose-lose proposition... non Lexar, AND non UDMA 7. Yikes.

I have read in other reviews about non-UDMA 7 readers possibly corrupting the cards. I haven't seen any definitive proof of it, but I haven't really researched it either. Lexar did put out firmware updates for their older non-UDMA 7 readers so they'd be UDMA 7 compatible. I doubt they'd do that if it wasn't a problem.
