Hi all,

Been searching and reading the forum for backpack reviews and suggestions. Yet, I can't seem to find the answer; I think this is everyone's case as well?

I currently have the Crumpler Karachi Outpost (small), not the current range, but the one that looks like a turtle shell. The quality feels great, support is great, but that oddly round shaped is PITA, gear doesn't fit well in it.

I'm looking for a small backpack that has the features:

- Fits a 5DII with a 35L attached and an additional lens (usually the 85mm).
- Quick access to camera (side wall access?). I don't like removing the bag and opening the back, and reaching in to get the camera.
- Don't need much storage for non camera stuff (eg. books, water bottles and etc). Just an iPad and filters.

I was looking at the Lowepro Flipside Sport 15L, but I'll still need to open the whole backpack to access the camera.

Suggestions?

Cheers,
Albert

Just had a look at the Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 150, it seems like one that suits my needs. Anyone has experience on this?

This might be bigger than you would like, but Ive heard great things about the Incase DSLR Pro backpack.
Ive got a friend with one and he seems to love it, plus the camera is accessible from the top of the bag instead of behind you against your back like many bags.

Thanks! I had a look at Incase and F Stop, and F Stop seems like a better backpack for me!

I meant to post this earlier, but had to rush out. I don't have experience with the fastpack 150, but I did have its bigger brother, the 350. I didn't like it. Fully packed it was bulky and heavy, and didn't take the weight very well. It was nicely padded though, and cheap. My 2nd Lowepro bag, the hatchback 22L, is better; less bulky, lighter, handles weight better when fully loaded. But it still is not as comfortable as any of the 3 F-Stop backpacks I've had, nor is it anywhere near as good quality. It has been through less, and is showing more wear. If this is a bag you'll be using frequently or for long periods of time, spend the extra money and get F-Stop.
