I'm about to order the Kinesis L622 for my 7D + grip + 600 F4L IS II. (I'll be ordering the L128 llid too so I can leave it all together plus the foam doughnut).

However I'm confused on the backpack options. I've sent an email to Kinesis but not heard back (I'm in Australia). I am 6ft7 tall (200cm). I presume H255 Padded backpack harness is the appropriate harness? Do I also need the P019 pack frame? The website says "The P019 pack frame is ONLY needed if you want to carry a heavy tripod or if you are rather tall and want a more comfortable fit.". I'm not carrying a heavy tripod but I am tall, so I'm not sure.

When did you email them?? We are in the midst of the thanksgiving holiday weekend at the moment, traditionally many small business take Thursday-Monday off. But its is one of the biggest shopping days /weekends of the year too so.

I cant really help you more than that. But I will say I am about to place a rather large order with them my self for a pack and associated kit to go with it... But not likely the frame as I have a good over night framed backpacking pack for those kind of occasions.

Edit: I just made my sizable order thanks to after thanksgiving sales

I owned a Kinesis long lens bag. It's well made but the harness is an afterthought.

The Lowepro and Tamrac are much better choices.

I guess that we're all different. I originally had a Kinesis and a Lowepro and sold the Lowepro to get a second Kinesis.

I use the L622 with the regular harness and find that it's okay. I'm not as tall as you (just a tad over 6') but can't envisage too much difference with your extra height.
