How did you light the men's faces?

Thanks for the kind words. This was part of a series of 3 for a client. This is a 3 speedlight set up. I'm posting the SOOC image. One speedlight is hidden behind the girl's hand. Another can be seen at the top of the image and the third is at camera left gently illuminating the foreground. That was enough to get me close. The rest is post work.

Great images here. Thanks for showing and explaining your set up. You nailed the lighting and your obviously skilled in PP. I would think the client was well pleased with the final result.

Nice work. Shame about the little bit of shadow from the guy on the right though in the first shot (Sorry thats just me being super picky) it caught my eye.

Not to nitpick but the only thing making the second image unbelievable is the lack of glow on the Apple logo. If the computer were actually turned on, the Apple would be glowing.

I was asked to light, shoot and deliver an unretouched image. The logo was left dark at the request of the art director. The AD wanted the flexibility of being able to handle some things in post. This included removing the logo and graying down the image. It is not the way I chose to process it for my portfolio. Here's the published piece. ..... Different strokes.

I really like the mood set by the published version more, has that sense of lurking in the shadows.

Can be fix with content aware fill.....
