Just wanting to know what other that have the Elinchrom Ranger Quadra A Head are using...it appears the receiver hole that will take the umbrella shaft has flat sides and won't take a round shaft of other umbrellas, making it proprietary to Elinchrom umbrellas (it appears). Are there other manufacturer options besides Elinchrom brand....looking for ones that aren't going to fall apart easily. Thanks.

E*****ome heads take a 7mm shaft, not the standard 8mm. Paul c Buff maker of the alien bee lights produces a line of parabolic umbrellas that are solidly built in larger sizes.

Calumet umbrellas are 7mm solid rod to the join in their splittable shaft umbrellas - 40" and above I think.
