Markins Q20 with Gitzo Series 2 Mountanineer

I know it's a bit of overkill, but is there any reason that the Q20 would not be appropriate for the Gitzo Series 2 Mountaineer or a Series 2 Systemic? The disc diameter on the top of the center column of the Mountaineer is about the same size as the base of the Q20.

The Q20 could always be transferred to a heavier Gitzo tripod if that was in the offing as an upgrade at some point.

I don't think it's overkill. Probably perfect.
