This is a little weird color scheme between the bold, dark blue, and light blue
as far as what has been viewed and what not. If I click on a Bold dark blue
unseen thread to read it, then go back out to the thread list, the title will be
dark blue not bold(but has been read/seen). If I click on the same thread again
with no new posts(dark blue at this time), exit back to the forum list and now the thread
title is light blue.

Glad I'm not the only one.

To add to that, my point was that previously it was VERY easy to tell which threads I had been to and which I had not. If you take a quick glance at the picture above you might not catch it.

TLDR: You should be able to figure it out if you're drunk :)

Note the difference in the color between posts that are followed (subscribed) and not followed. Then note the difference in normal/bold if there are new posts vs. no new posts. To the best of my recollection this works just like it did on the old POTN vBulletin forum except for the case where you may have skipped some pages such as when you just jump to the last page of a very long thread and the thread still shows up bold. I don't recall if vBulletin did that. If you open one of those long threads, you will most likely get a pop-up asking if you would like to traverse unseen posts ands are presented with various options. I usually select to mark all as seen.

Another difference between followed and not-followed threads: followed threads have "seen!" in the upper right corner of seen posts.

Can there also stand "not yet seen" or "unseen"?

I do like the new functionality of viewing the first unread post by default.

In 'vBulletin - land' it was rather clumsy. You'd click on the last page, and possibly miss posts on previous pages, or you would click on the first page, then click 'go to first unread', which could be many, many pages downstream.

New design for the win. :-D

Did you notice the difference between thread 2 and 3 in the screen shot? Both threads have been totally viewed, yet
there is difference in color....[page 1, last page]. As far as long threads go, I've seen the "traverse" option(not as a pop-up),
but I always click "go to 1st unseen post" anyhow and traverse from there until the end of the thread leaving no unseen posts!
I don't see how any posts can be missed, yet there are differences in colors of the thread listings! I think Pekka just did it to mess with us
so we could have some fun trying to figure things out!

Color is not something I pay a lot of attention to as I don't have normal color perception. Bold and font changes are more noticeable to me.

To me there are lots of better ways to show that somebody has posted in a thread. Not a fan of the colored/bold three colors. Vb and others like XenForo have that part right.

This place has a lot of cool features though so in time it will get sorted out.

For now I'll just figure it out one way or the other.

I'd really like to see some sort of icon next to the thread depicting that the poster has already posted in a thread. Clean, simple and you don't need a color key or long explanation.

Just my 2¢.

I'll put in a word again for making the "YOURS" bold. Would that grab your attention enough to make it a handy signal?

Not that it matter now that vbulletin is gone, but I'm pretty sure it could have been configured to do the same from the thread index page(I also wish it had been myself and glad that it is now) as it did from email notifications and if you click the link to the last thread of a sub forum form the forum index page.

Here's an example from another forum I've very active at. It's VERY easy to tell where you've been and where you haven't... and to which threads you've posted to.

My complaint isn't that they're aren't indicators here, it's that they aren't different enough to be EASILY recognizable... as in there isn't enough of a difference.

To see the exif information you need special glasses . No I am not kidding you really need to click the special glasses....if you don't see them to the right of the picture you want to have a special look just make your browser less wide and they will appear.

Now you are in the Lightbox mode and can I can now right-click the picture and my FxIFData plug-in/add-on for Firefox can display the Exif information

You see it is all in using the right glasses to see what you want to see....or just not by taking them off. ;-)a

update: I put the special glasses on and this an copy of Exif information for a picture by you:

Camera Maker: NIKON CORPORATION
Camera Model: NIKON D700
Image Date: 2009-07-23 15:04:05 (no TZ)
Focal Length: 240.0mm
Aperture: f/5.3
Exposure Time: 0.0020 s (1/500)
ISO equiv: 400
Exposure Bias: none
Metering Mode: Center Weight
Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)
Color Space: sRGB
GPS Coordinate: 53° 30′ 5.33″ N, 113° 35′ 4.63″ W

The Special Glasses turns out to be a bit bothersome since I end up having to reduce my browser width quite a bit to have them appear. However, I'm happy to see that for Chrome you don't need the "Special Glasses" as the Exif Viewer v2.3.3 add-in works perfectly! I just click the tiny blue camera at the bottom right of the image and the exif panel opens displaying all of the meta data goodness. No camera, then there's no meta data. :)

Speaking of color, I think it would be nice to have the STICKYs at the top in a different font color - at least the STICKY word - then it's easy to look down and find the first regular thread below them.

Forgive me if it's already been mentioned.

Haven't been online for half a day and I'm not sure which AMASS thread is which anymore. Maybe TeamSpeed could consolidate them since it seems he lives in cyberspace all the time

If you didn't already know you can hide the stickys, but for those that don't want them hidden that's a good suggestion.

It's probably been mentioned but it would nice to be able to hide them per forum section. I personally found there's some section I like them hidden and others I wouldn't, toggling works but not needing to would be better.
