We are sorry that not all members like the new forum system, it is difficult to please all people. We will work to make it better as part of the beta team.

In the interim, please review this thread, it has many pointers taken from other members that once thought the same way, but now really enjoy the boards.

Yes, I like that better, but we need to keep Pekka freed up to concentrate more on his solution and vision, and if we can run that interference for him with canned responses like this to provide enough help, but not pander to each negative comment, it will be better for all involved.

I am probably one of the biggest violators early this week in getting people riled due to their rude comments, but that has stopped (hopefully), with some prompting by CDS and a few days of cooling off. Pekka has countless hours on this, and the beta team has months invested, so we all feel a sense of ownership, and attacks on the forum naturally feel personal to us.

So the more we can say "We are sorry you are unhappy, we hear your complaints and will address them over time, and meanwhile, here is some info to help you out", the better things should be, theoretically anyways.

#1 - they don't like it, and throw the dummy out of the pram
#2 - you fan the flames and call them a big girls blouse, and tell them so put up or shut up
#3 - they react and respond
#4 - you goad them
#5 - they have now spent days on here reacting to your goading, and are getting used to the whole thing
#6 - you say, nice one mate, you now like the forum
#7 - you demand a donation to the Pekka Foundation

Totally understandable but on the other side of the spectrum logging on to a new place and immediately throwing venom isnt right as well. BUT we have all swooped in like an AMASS SWAT team on those threads

That is true, BUT that is where the mods are/should be stepping in to correct the bad behavior. The BAT team (and other members that now are very acclimated and know their way around) can run interference for Pekka regarding site use and layout, the mods can regulate behavior, and Pekka can work on his baby behind the scenes.

And yes, I can see all your expresssions now, "What, this is coming from whom? Teamspeed? Did somebody hack his account and replace him with somebody more collected and logical?".

We just need a button that takes you to a waiting room like:
