New format.. makes me dizzy

well, that's the thing, the upload images DOES have a mouseover effect, but doesnt need it. Of course I prefer to have it.

I'm thinking the smilies can use it. The like should have a mouse underline, like hyperlink. Quite a few things have mouseover/effects, and quite few dont. it's just odd for me to see much fragmentation. I know it may seem trivial, but it does help with user experience.

the replying to post vs quoting.... I'll have to get used to that. A bit confusing for sure, seems like a more complex approach to a simple solution.

Then things behave differently on my computer than on yours, because I see mouse overs for everything in the tool box, including all the smileys, except for the UPLOAD IMAGES button and the stuff underneath it. To me it makes perfect sense this way as the UPLOAD IMAGES button and the ones beneath it are pretty self explanatory. Except the FETCH button, but that has a click-able question mark that gives you a lengthy explanation.

I really don't see the problem here. After a few days, a week of posting you will know everything there is to know about that tool box. It's new now and you need to give yourself a bit of time to get used to it, is all. Don't reject it simply because it is unfamiliar to you now.

I was expecting something of an improvement but give me back the old format any day.

What have you done so far to come to this conclusion? Have you checked out the galleries folks have started to populate? Equipment reviews? Gear browsers? The fact that exif data is now included on images that folks add? The complete customization of your home page which allows you to remove unwanted forums and rearrange to your liking. The search tool has been completely optimized and has become very powerful.

Let us know What bothers you, other then it's not vBulletin.

The fact that you make the effort to change the font you post with illustrates a problem with the readability of the new look.

I really do appreciate the effort and desire it took to create a "better" experience how ever I just want to make a few points.

I don't recall a massive request to have it changed and many were not privy to how it was going to change so this is their first look. Throttle back a little on the righteous indignation when people are expressing the opinions. This was taken on by choice.

Second, is there any way to get rid of the post ID, time stamp, and who it follows in the message body? Please, please, please. It really serves no purpose for the reader of the post. Also is it possible to have an actual button for the "like" feature, say in the upper left corner?

Third, a choice of skins would be great and calm almost all the complaints. I absolutely hate the script forum header font but it seems I am stuck with it because someone else thinks it is readable and creative. Just remember, we all don't have the same eye and don't all see things the same. This appearance could be very difficult for some to read, why not allow them some basic color change.

Again I really appreciate the effort but I don't like being basically told....."we did this all for you so you are going to like it because we did all this work". While that might be true it is not very fair to the members that had no say or no choice......just something to remember.

The content of the forum got better so I am sure I won't be going anywhere, now I have a place for all my gear and photo stuff......not just the Canon. Big thanks for that.

Give yourself some time to get used to it. Do as you would do and it may or may not grow on you.

I'm hoping there is something to make it better on my iphone 5s. I will read some more but with the way it is I will no longer view it mobile. I can deal with the computer but it is horrible to look at anything other than the main topics on mobile. Then again, that may just be me.

Post id has always been around. I will say personally that I like it. And for sure time stamps is a must for the market section.

2: Hopefully it can be looked into at the very least moved to the far right side as to not looks as part of the message text
