Pekka, I get the link and how it is supposed to work, but I think the OP is meaning that every time you click on the "New & Followed" link at the top of the screen, it always seems to default to the New, and not a set default on the "Followed & Own" threads...

Unless I am missing something too....

I agree, that should be a sticky user preference, much like how the Forum Index remembers your last choice, as does RTAT.

I think we need to implement a $5 jerk jar. If you are just going to complain about things now and lament over days past, then you have to put $5 into the POTN donation jerk jar. If you want to really change things, and make it better, then contribute constructive suggestions and leave it with Pekka to find time in his schedule to possibly address them.

I like this idea, however I would like to be the one that holds onto the jar :)

lets see.. off to paypal making an account.

Yes…this….I would like to click on the "new & followed" link and have it default to my followed threads, not the "new" threads. I don't care about those and it is an extra click to get to my "followed" threads. It would be nice top be able to set this as a default. thanks

Is it possible to get the members post count to display like it used to? It helps to spot spammers and newbies who might be struggling.

Is there a setting to show if a member is on-line like in the old forum when responding to a post? I did read though the tutorials but if I missed it please excuse me.

That is only showing me the threads I created. I couldn't see the new posts in this thread without finding the thread and going to the end. New and Followed shows me a bunch of new thread I may or may not care about, such as the current thread at the top "FS/FT Nikon 200-400......"

I just want the auto subscribe type function you got when you clicked User CP and had the list of threads with new posts right there. The General Photo Talk is a section I have not hidden, but even this thread won't show up in the New & Followed. I must be not undestanding something.

P.S. Looks like the quote I tried to enter didn't work. But I think I figured that out too.

OOOHHHHH!!! I got a pop up on the side asking if I want to add to the list. Clicked it and now it's showing in the feed. Making me feel happier. I do like some of the features added, but it will take some browsing and playing to get used to.

sorry, you would need to manually 'follow thread'.

here's where you can convert/import your subscribed threads.

Did you choose to follow this thread? This version doesn't automatically follow a thread after you reply, you either follow in the popup that shows after replying, or go to the top of the thread and follow from there. That will add the thread to your followed list for new and followed.

Edit: looks like you got it!
