Yes I get that for sure I have previously used Nikon and fuji etc I just hope we don't get loads of crappy photos on here spamming like I see on other forums previously JMO I liked the user experience on here good to know I can ditch multi users though thanks! I think u should have a option to change colour though to give us a choice etc might be good idea for the boss :-)

I love it, especially the like button & being able to hide stickies! Yaaaayy. The best of galleries should be fantastic too. :-)

Thanks to Pekka and everyone else involved in bringing us this change.

I think we all need give it a week or three, these things can take a while to grow on you. I am liking a new section just for Sony having just bought an SLT A55V, my first break with Canon with a higher end (not PS) camera.

Well I've been struggling with this new layout since it appeared, a fundamental omission seems to be that you can't mark a forum as read.

As others have said "if it ain't broke don't fix it" I've used many forums on the web over the years and this is now the most difficult. Whilst people may not like vbulletin, many forums utilise this or something similar and using them is easy for the USER. I appreciate there are many customisation features, but I still find it awful. Sadly I don't think I shall be able to persevere with it.

How about this….When going to the "new & followed" page, is there a way to make your "followed" threads load first by default? I don't really care about the new threads. thanks

Ha! Just figured out I can quote myself from another thread! I guess that is kinda cool. So…anyone have an answer to my question above??

I was wondering about that one too... don't care about the new threads, but I'd like to quickly see the threads I'm subscribed to (or 'following' I guess).

Harm wrote in post #17303115 (external link)

Pekka, I get the link and how it is supposed to work, but I think the OP is meaning that every time you click on the "New & Followed" link at the top of the screen, it always seems to default to the New, and not a set default on the "Followed & Own" threads...

Unless I am missing something too....

Maybe AMASS can be made to simply remember the last mode it was in? I would like that too.

Not sure if you like it yet? Go to your home page & add in your gear, then you can write reviews of each item (if you want to). You can also add stuff to a wishlist, read reviews by others and look at photos taken with the gear you like. How totally cool to have all this in one place and so easy to see. :-D I'm going to enjoy POTN more than ever now.

It really isn't difficult whatsoever. You just haven't given it enough time to see how to do everything and what new features there are to offer. If you're packing up after day 1, then you must not have much invested here anyway.

It now has it's own forum on the index page: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/index.php#SamplePhotos

Lens sample can also be found when you use Gear Browser, e.g.: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/gearindex.php?id=59

That is a very terrible place to keep a serial code...PMs are gone with the update. Pekka made an announcement awhile ago telling everyone to save PMs for the update...ouch.

There were a number of announcements in different places. The last few days there was a site wide announcement up top from Pekka. Chet and I roamed some of our regular threads, left warnings there. I'm sorry to learn that some people still missed all that and have lost their pm's.
