My copy of this lens arrived last week, and yesterday I finally had an opportunity to try it out. My husband and I went for a walk through Arlington to visit his parent's graves. Artistically, they're not the best shots, but I was happy with my first experience with the lens. We found the section of the cemetery in the last photo especially moving - every stone is labeled "Unknown U.S. soldier". What you see in the photo is only a small portion of it, even 16mm couldn't fit it all in.

My husband loves old trains, so we spent a day chasing 611 around. I wasn't sure how the a7R and 16-35mm would work for this type of shooting, but it performed pretty well. The train was traveling at about 40 mph.

Thanks! We were in Cass last year for the Railfan Weekend. It was a lot of fun and we came home with some really nice photos of the trains.
