The one issue I tend to have with my a7r is that the main wheel in the back can be easily bumped and moved. I've kept it for changing iso and in a few cases, like these images, the iso has gotten bumped from auto iso to iso 64. I saw no change in the viewfinder so I kept shooting. It sure makes for some slow shutter speeds. I should add that the Sony 35mm f2.8 lens has become my go to lens for the most part it seems. (The 'edit metadata' function doesn't have iso 64 but that's what these were all shot at) ![]() DSC03052 ![]() DSC03039 ![]() DSC03038 Lol, looks like depth of field play with a tiltshift lens Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

I am still deciding what I want to do at 35mm. I had hoped Sony would have already announced and priced the upcoming 35mm f/1.4. Thanks David. I thought it turned out pretty well considering no flash was used. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

The thing I like about the 35 f2.8 lens is its diminutive size. Until I see results from the future Sony f1.4 35mm lens, I don't see the advantage to me in wanting to change. I also have a Sigma 35 f1.4 Art lens so I'm familiar with the narrow field of focus but it's a very large, heavy lens and I would assume the Sony lens will be as well...relatively speaking. I heartily agree that the size of this little one is extremely appealing. I only returned mine to reconsider all the upcoming options (I also really like the Loxia 35mm f/2) - from what I've seen it has uniquely beautiful sunstars - and it starts making them at f/2.8. Not sure if I've ever seen that before in a lens. David | Flickr

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | Another feature of the Sony 35 f2.8 lens that I should have mentioned that appeals to me is the fact that even at such a small size, auto focus is integrated into the lens. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

Feb 22, 2015 08:57 | #29 Gene, for the eye focus, if face detection already recognizes the face, you can forego the focus button and straight to eye focus button. Saves a step. Saves a step. Exactly. The camera automatically detects the face with no input from the shooter. Then by pressing the 'OK' button (the default), the eye AF focuses on the eye. A shutter press is all that is now required to make the exposure. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||
