I could not have opened up the shadows this cleanly using my Canon 5D3.

Nice shots Gene. Easily the most underrated lens in the FE line-up!

Contrails from this morning I thought looked pretty neat. This is facing due east towards Phoenix and beyond.

From a lunch-time walk in the park - doing a little hand-held HDR test with Lightroom's new internal HDR processor. I'm impressed with how well these were merged - they stayed sharp even though there is some slight movement (by me) between frames.

Perfectly natural looking shots David. I agree that the new LR seems to do a very nice job merging bracketed exposures. I'm sure the faster shutter speeds you used on these examples helped mitigate any movement between exposures by the photographer too. ;-)a

Initially I saw some too-slow shutter speeds for the over-exposed frame (1/25), so I did bump up the ISO to keep everything going fast enough for handheld work. Still, when reviewing the brackets in-camera, there was noticeable shifting between frames. Amazing what sins these stitching apps can cover. :)

This wooden sculpture called "Harmony" is 25 ft. tall and depicts life sized native animals. This was done by local artist David Roy and it took him 5 years to complete.

Even wide open, this little lens is pretty sharp.
