I have a geeky side! I love these events since it's a great way to practice shooting many different people and try new & portable light setups. Thanks, I'm really enjoying driving it and except for a brief cold spell over the Holidays, Southern California weather is back to normal. It got up to 85° today. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

(4 edits in all) | Jan 12, 2015 13:34 | #22 I took advantage of a rare foggy morning today to do some experimenting with moody black and white images. The playground- While I was at the park this morning, I also took a shot of my car but decided to keep it in color. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/qMmteH A foggy morning One more of a gloomy day. And I hope you'll post my favorite of them as well (commented on it on your Flickr stream). ![]() The car shot is yet another example of why I really like the way this lens renders. It reminds me a lot of the Zeiss Distagon T* 1.4/35mm (ZE or ZF.2). There is just a nice smoothness to it. And the colors look great as well. If I can sell a few items I plan to order this along with the 70-200mm. Thanks David, I appreciate your comments. I will attach the image you commented on here as well. I really need to practice seeing in black and white as I think that helps with the composition of color shots to come. I may switch to shooting black and white jpg's right out of the camera occasionally for this purpose. DSC03318 Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

Thanks baan. Here's one more of my car from a wider perspective. I actually like this dark version and looks great (to me) when viewed on a dark background large.
