Dec 04, 2014 18:35 | #18 Permanent banHmm, suddenly it automatically stopped subscribing me to threads in which I post. I know there's a way to manually follow them and I've had the pop-up thingie coming up to ask if I want to subscribe. But, cannot it be like it was before: automatic subscription and then I can manually stop following if I'm no longer interested? Less clicking and hassle that way. I prefer more control of subscriptions and a central control panel. The "mark everything as read" to unbold things that were here when I last finished reading is invaluable to me. Without it I have to read all the thread title, it's information overload. If you reply to a post (click the "Reply" button on that post), you'll be asked if you want to follow the thread. If you just post to a thread, you won't. Of course, if you start a thread, you'll also be asked if you want to follow it. Jon

It's vexing to be asked for confirmation all the time at every turn. Heck, I found and posted that I've only created a total of 25 new threads of my own since I joined in 2009, but I like being auto-subscribed to threads I post to so I can easily find and continue conversations. Waiting for that auto-subscribe option I use manual exposure settings on the copy machine

Jon Cream of the Crop 69,628 posts Likes: 227 Joined Jun 2004 Location: Bethesda, MD USA More info | I don't have any desire to follow most of the threads I participate in; as it is, I've got some 3000 I'm listed as "Own", either because they reflect reports of spam/mod alerts in the old POTN or threads where I've split a thread that rolled past 10,000 posts. So I'm delighted to have it a check-box. If it's in an area I regularly visit, I'll come back and see any new posts anyhow; if it's outside that area, I'll generally remember it and make a point of popping back in. Jon
