This body is a keeper, i'm using it since 2013 and have no problems with it. I've had a small romance with Sony A7 some time ago and compared to this camera it was rubbish. It will do whatever you need with no problems. Quality is nice, the olny thing would be more pixelated matrix, but i hope they will do something with it in mark II some day. Definetly best camera i've used, small, trusty and the results are better than good.

For general photography you cannot go wrong with a 6D, it's a shame the snobs brand them as "enthusiast" cameras. In the UK you can pick up a good used one for £600 or about £1200 new. Worth every penny. CF slot would be nice but everything seems to be moving towards SD.

Agree, have had my 6D for a short amount of time, but feel like I got a deal as it may be at the end of its life cycle

Even though I already have a 5D mk III, I decided to add a 6D because it was half the price and I can dedicate it to portrait/landscape work and save wear on the 5D's shutter for sports/event photography work.

Beautiful camera; in addition to being a low light monster, its AF in darker environments is really quite excellent with the center point. I just shot a sports practice tonight in a very poorly lit space (call it a stress test - while the return window is still open) and the 6D just nailed focus every time. Definitely a keeper.

dumb question, be gentle with me. Will the 6D work with the Tamron 150-600 mm lens?
