Previously, I have linked images from Flickr to post here rather than uploading directly, due to file size limits and the fact that I'd rather display a full-quality JPEG rather than produce and store a separate low-quality JPEG just for posting here. This allows me to show larger and better images, but has a downside in that, should the Flickr filename change for any reason (e.g. if I upload a new version or new size of the image to Flickr) the image would cease to display on POTN until I updated it with the new link.
With the new Gallery feature, how does this work? Does the linked jpeg get copied and uploaded to the server (so, if the Flickr link changes the photo won't just disappear) or does the gallery still rely on the link? What's the current maximum file size for a jpeg here? Think it used to be 150kb...
