Thanks , I'm still not sure on my timing the arduino Program that is running the stepper motor. Is one I found on the web my txpilot. This is one of the very first shots set for 30 sec. I did some others shots at 59 sec. Too. I noticed the elongated stars on the edge of pic but not so much in the center of the picture.

The reason the stars at the edge are trailing is because of the area you had the camera pointing and the lens size you used . Your not far off the Polaris star so trailing is the least amount the closer you get to Polaris , while the farther away the longer the trailing . I can see the Andromeda Galaxie and the Double Cluster and the size says you used a WA lens right ?

Echo it wasnt hard to make at all. Rounding up parts, figuring out the arduino and finding a sketch to control the stepper motor was the Tuffest. I got lucky and found the Meade field tripod for 60$ On fleabay

Looks good. If you have your sidereal movements precise then the only thing holding you back from longer exposures will be polar alignment accuracy. The ioptron polar scope uses a pretty clear polar clock which is easy to align and could be mounted in your gun scopes cradle with minor adjustments. Another alternative is drift alignment. Processing is a whole new animal
