Below freezing again today. That means this guy is all fluffed up with nowhere to go except to guard his feeder.

Great work Craig. Can these little birds survive cold weather? I had the idea that they headed South for the Winter.

Great captures Craig.

Red Dexs, Anna's are the only Hummingbird it the Western US that can survive the cold. They actually go into torpor over night to cut back on energy use.
