Night in Prague

You just have to get out there early in the morning, everything get's crazy crowded by 9am.

Great shots without any people traffic on Charles bridge, which is pretty common even after midnight!

I wonder if it was taken from inside the clock tower. It is possible to go up there but the area available to walk around isn't very wide and gets crowded. A tripod may be difficult but there are window ledges to lean on. There are some red roofed buildings that make an interesting composition from up there too. Enjoy your trip.

It is from the clock tower. I took my tripod and used one of the four corners where there is a little more room to set it up.

Fabulous images. We just returned from Old Quebec City. I love the feel and mood of an old city lit at night. Just showed these to my wife and now she says we have to see Europe next. Belonging to forums like this can be rather costly.

Your pinpoints of lights are really NICE! Which lens and settings did you use to get that?

All except the one from the tower are shot with the 24-70 II, the one from the tower is shot with the 16-35 II. They vary from F9-18 and 5-30sec exposures. Typically, the better the lens, the higher the blade count - combined with longer exposures and higher F stops create the light stars.
