White Breasted Nuthatch
Mourning Dove
Male Hairy Woodpecker
Last but not least, another Male Hairy Woodpecker.
My first photos with the new and improved POTN. Seems relatively painless!

Grizz1 Goldmember More info | Dec 02, 2014 20:39 | #5 Nice beginning to the new forum Sandy. At my age I'm not fond of the snow and the cold winter but it does make for good shooting of our feathered friends. Have a couple questions: are you still shooting through glass and have you been buying some new gear? I don't remember your gear list as it is now. Steve

Dealing with winter gets a bit harder every year! Yes, these were all shot through my windows! As far as the gear, I've had most of it, the 2.8 is fairly new. I still love my 60D for handheld shots. The larger body can be challenging, so I usually have it on a tripod. I never listed the gear, but it is listed on all my Flickr shots. CMOats wrote in post #17306794 Great shots Sandy!! I have had the larger Canon for quite a while, but still love the little 60D! targetman wrote in post #17307357 Cracking set. Thank you very much! Red Dexs wrote in post #17307520 Great set Sandy. Thanks Rog. Yes these were all through my windows. I don't have the patience to wait outside during the colder months, plus I have the best views of my perches from inside. Some perches only work with the 70-200, and some are set for focusing distance with the 400 lens. The apple tree shots are challenging because their are too many branches. Thanks Al. Gotta love the year round crew! Plus Bluejays, Chickadees and Red Breasted Nuthatches. I will put them in another thread! Thanks Craig. I even saw a female Cardinal yesterday! I was afraid they were headed back to your house. *Sandy* "If we all had positive attitudes...we could change the world"
