Hello all. Hopefully someone can help. I want to create a 12 month photo calendar where I have a photo for each month of the year (12 page calendar). The ones that. I live in the States. Can anyone recommend a company that produces quality calendars that allows me to create my own Nature/Wildlife calender?

Thanks...Al

I have used this company for years: http://www.digi-labs.net/ (external link)

The software allows you to customize (within their framework). Be careful how much you push the options.

One year I squashed down the date portion for each month in order to get enough room for square photos. I ended up with some minor issues on several months. If I recall correctly several months lost the thumbnail for the previous and following months

Good luck

Kevin

This year we used lulu. Better image quality than Costco and they do full bleed.

Anyone use Mpix for calendars? How's the IQ (or print quality)?

I have personally used Adoramapix and Mixbook. Both will let you start with a blank calendar so you can do your own creation or you can use a theme, even a generic one like one image per page. Today Mixbook has 30-50% off calendars (varies with size) and free shipping. It ends today 12/15 but I noticed they often extend their sales.

Thanks for the tip. I will watch their site.

I used MPIX for a couple of years but switched after last year, where I thought the quality of the paper and printing was poor. I'm trying Costco this year, but haven't gotten the calendar back yet.

Can provide an update on their quality once you get them?

Thanks

Sure, although it could be a week due to some Christmas travel.

I didn't forget, just botched the order so that things were delivered late. The word is they look much better than the MPIX calendar I got last year. Larger (I picked the 11 by 14 size) and glossy finish. So Costco seems like a good option.

I used http://www.printingcenterusa.com/ (external link) and had a very good experience. Nice stock, good reproduction of my photographs and, above all, a good price!

I've tried many. Here's my opinion / advice:

- Stay away from big box warehouses and office supply stores (costco, office depot, etc.). Quality sucks. Paper sucks. Image quality sucks. or all three.
- Stay away from vistaprints - sucks.
- about the best I got was from mpix, but that was a few years back and I don't know if they changed.

Curious advice when just a couple of posts ago I said that the quality of the Costco calendars was superior to MPIX.

I can't seem to find any companies that have a calendar size that will not crop the picture and still have a full bleed. For a 3:2 aspect ration picture, the top picture portion would have to be 9x6 or 12x8, giving a calendar size of 9x12 or 12x16. Are there any companies out there that has either of those sizes?
