This is year I am trying to find the cheap paper calendars for family gifts. The kind like you get from banks and insurance companies. Any suggestions for these types of calendars? I don't plan to give away the fancy ones to family members this year and will make a couple for the house and work - personal use that is.

Thanks...Al

I received the test calendar I did from MyPhotoCreations and it was terrible. It looked like it was printed from a color laser printer circa the early 1990's and destined for a land where saturated colors are illegal. It is shocking how bad it is, I wouldn't give these away even if they were free to me.

Vistaprint - reasonably cheap and not bad quality. There's usually deals. We did some for family for fun, they came out pretty good.

Yeah, Vistaprint is running a 40% sale until Sunday on calendars. I just got my second order from (http://www.printingcenterusa.com/) (external link), and they are already gone. Went with a different printer for the first set cause they had a good sale.

When it ceases to be fun, it will be time to walk away

Picked up my calendars from Costco yesterday, they look good. I selected the larger size premium calendars, 11 1/2" by 14". Cropped my stuff to that size before uploading, that hurt a little bit on a few of them. I used a very basic design, white, with a border, although they have an option to print without a border. They are printed on heavy glossy paper. They seem just a little on the dark side to me, not too bad, and it may be that my screen has the brightness turned up a little bit too high so they appear darker in relation to the computer. I'd recommend Costco to anyone looking to print a few of these things.

We've used various companies in thepast. Most had really good quality.
Last year we were treated poorly and went hunting this year for a new printer.( Ordered well before Thanksgiving last year and even paying "expedited shipping", the calendars arrived within 3 days of leaving to deliver them at a party. Excuses without apologies was all we heard.)

Price is a consideration with the quality and the ease of ordering.
After a few false starts elsewhere( we don't use Windows operating systems), we successfully uploaded photos to vistaprint and used the coupon code.
Cons:
odd cropping, could have been our images
Adding captions further obliterates the image instead of allowing text overlays on the image.

Pros:
one image per month or multi images a month
many color and font options for text
many date options.

We are pleased with the results. Fastest ship time ever and trackable the whole way.
