At approximately 5h23m of the 6 hour race car #20, a Porsche 919 hybrid Le Mans LPM-1 lost control at the beginning of the start-finish straight and collided with a Ferrari 458 GTam and the outer guardrail. The Porsche crossed the track impacting the inner guardrail. It then slid for about 5s and 100+ meters more coming to rest in front of me. Porsche driver was Mark Webber. Ferrari driver was Matheo Cressoni. Both spent the night in the hospital. Cressini was released Monday. Webber was remainded under observation because of concussion. Webber had an accident in a Jaguar F-1 car in 2003 at nearly the same location. I have posted 30 Photos of the accident in my FB page. Name James Wattengel.

Webber seems to have a gravitational force towards large accidents.

RUD rapid unintended disassembly. Man that looks nasty. Much worse than I saw it on TV. I almost got to go to that race. The top prize for the Spirit of Le Mans photo contest was a weekend in Brazil. I was one of the runner ups. They are fantastic cars. First time I've seen them is last year in Austin. But I've always been a fan of endurance racing.
