Will be sad to see you go, Johan. Don't look for me on the FM forums. I think they're atrocious.

... Everyone has a smart phone...

No they don't. I don't have a mobile of any description, smart or otherwise.

I either use my android phone or tablet and it looks fine, maybe it's an issue from the tiny apple screen. It's a new forum people need to get used to it.
I get on fm also i enjoy that site also but i like this forum layout fm reminds me of the old days before broadband when everything was text based.

FM layout is too much like a listserv (and the lack of a good search functionality ruins it for me).

I'm not a fan of this new look, but it's not nearly as bad as FM...

Search was hidden under pull down menus on the old site, here it at the top with a much stronger set of tools, as well as storing previous searches. A lot of info can be found in the FYEO page, as well as threads in the amass forum.

I use mobile for most of my forum use on a iPhone 4s. The old forum was great. This new version is completely worthless on my phone now. It is 2014. We don't need stupid website designs for crappy flip out phones any longer. Everyone has a smart phone and knows how to zoom in and out.

The new website is clearly designed by a programmer and not a software interface designer.

It's a free site. So we can't complain too much. I just wonder why so much effort was put into something not broken.

Look at how FM forums is laid out. That is the way things should be done.

Yikes, asking for this to look like FM is an insult. FM is one of the most terrible laid out sites that I've been to. I tried them out when I was first getting into forums and it was absolutely terrible. You enjoy the ads plastered across FM?

PS, the site looks great on both android devices that I checked. I don't understand the complains coming from mobile users. Plus, the forum is ultimately meant to be used from a computer browser. Yes, it supports mobile view, but it's not the optimal viewing and browsing method.

Yeah, FM sucks. I also just joined Nikonians right before POTN changed and it's pretty horrible too. I like the new POTN.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

The only constant in the universe is change.

There are always options, and departing is certainly one. You could also investigate a new phone.

Pekka is very open to suggestions and feedback, offer up some ideas or at least be specific about what you dislike. He will take it in to consideration.

This works great on my android (on it now). I checked out FM while this site was down and I was far from impressed, all that did was make me anxious for the update to be completed.

From a color scheme standpoint (dark interface) I like FM. I also like their buy/sell forums. For everything else: POTN. The new look works good on my iPad.
