That is a process that takes about two-three days.
I'll make the top navigation and FYEO much clearer in the near future.

It was pretty clear if I wasn't grogged out on pain meds :)

and it's ok if if I need to take an extra second or two to find things. It's like anything new.

Thanks for all the work getting this up and going. I think it's going to be a huge benefit down the road.

ouch I've had that also. I had my left hip replaced in September and just had the right hip replaced over Thanksgiving. I can't say that they snuck up on me since I've been putting them off for a while now. Hope you are recovering nicely from all of your surgeries.

Doing fine, thanks. 2 back surgeries, left shoulder replacement, gall bladder and of course can't forget the hemorrhoid surgery (there are some places a knife is just not meant to be inserted into). Every day this side of the grass is a good one!!

We've sat in front of our computers for hours, dealing with hateful and insulting and mean-spirited posts from critics who have no manners, no tact, and perhaps no empathy and not even any social skills for faking empathy.

I appreciate all the effort that went into the new POTN. But your comments towards the users' reaction has been a two-way street. I can say the same thing about a number of the POTN grey-beards (mods, beta-testers, etc.) who were not very tactful, etc., in responding to the user reaction. In fact, the only person, who was very courteous, and did not lose his patient with the users is Pekka. I really appreciate his gentle way of handling the user negativity. The whole POTN changeover is about "Change Management". I have not seen any evidence of that having received any thought, ahead of time.

Cause and effect... ;) Besides that is water under the bridge at this point, emotions were high for about 2 days or so, we have gone a week with everyone (for the most part) having less attitude in their replies, from both sides of the street.

There was alot of discussion about the change over, and there were a few refreshes from production over to the test area. The issue is more that the beta test group size, when compared to the overall membership, was quite, quite small. However there were alot of things covered as best as could be with that team. I also suspect that many beta tester invitations were sent out, but not everyone responded back.

Even Pekka has indulged in mild sarcasm. We're not all so saintly in replying to negativity.

The White Paper introduced members to many of the changes long before AMASS! opened. That's a form of change management. There were also alerts to download your PMs; information about the schedule was posted. Inevitably, some people missed these things. The existence of this Software Talk forum is another piece of furniture in managing the change. What else would you recommend? Can any of it still be done?
