I have a question for my fellow potn member here, i rented the X100s a while back and loved it, i loved how compact it was and the images were amazing. I never got round to purchasing one but now i am about to. I know that model is older, so will get the latest version but is there anything else comparable in the market to this camera that i should look into before purchasing?

Well, there's the Leica Q...
fixed lens (28mm Summilux), full frame, 24 megapixels, built-in wifi. And a Leica bargain at $4,250. That's only about 3.25X the cost of an X100T, and you get full frame. If I had an extra $3K laying around, I might be tempted. And if I had an extra $9K, I'd be even more tempted by the Monochrom!

Perhaps others will have suggestions for more earthly options.

only thing I can think of is the Ricoh GR, and there are some obvious differences (sensor aside). 28mm, no OVF (might not even have an EVF).

I bought my X100s 2 months ago second hand and have not regretted it. It does not have wifi but I bought a toshiba flashair wifi sd card for it so I can transfer images to my phone on the go. I love the camera and do not feel like I am missing out on anything by not having the latest models.
